This post has nothing to do with Gabe or our family, so some of you can stop reading now. I just wanted to inform some of you friends and family that I am going to be co-authoring a blog with a buddy of mine. He's had this blog for a while, which I've enjoyed reading, and he invited me to join in. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I thought it would be fun to try and a good discipline to keep me writing and reflecting on the Gospel. His vision is to bring the Gospel to his friends and family through his blog. I thought it was a good vision, so I said "let's do it." Milestone

We're quite certain that this will never happen again, you've seen Andy and I, so we wanted to record the event. Today at Gabe's casting appointment we discovered that he is in the 64th Percentile for height!!!! He's now long enough to fit into all his 0-3 month clothes, but he needs to put on some more weight to really fill them out, though he did gain 8 oz in seven days.

Home with Gabe

The 39 week wait for Gabe passed at a snails pace, and now that he's home with us time seems to fly by. Just 17 days old and I struggle to remember what life was like before he was here. Andy and I have taken MANY photos (though none capture the true cuteness of our new son) and I've selected just a few from the last 2.5 weeks to share.


In general many of our pictures turn out looking a lot like this...Gabe has a very cute moment but by the time the camera flashes our speedy little guy has taken on a new pose.






Gabe has now had 3 casts. Here you can see his first set to the left while he recuperates from the second set.







We've learned very quickly that Gabe HATES to be cold, he also HATES to be wet. This makes the few minutes before, during, and after a diaper change a bit traumatic. Thankfully we discovered that if we undertake the process with the space heater near by it makes the process far less difficult.




This is the general procedure for bathing a child who hates to be cold. Wrap up the entire baby and reveal one body part at a time for cleaning, this was the tummy clean.





And last but now least, this is the face that I have come to love. How could you resist that little face, it just begs to be kissed.
